NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH (NUKEM), in collaboration with its partner Tellux, proudly presented its innovative FREMES EcoProbe system during a successful live demonstration event held in Karlstein am Main. This belt conveyor free release measuring system represents the latest addition to the well-established FREMES-BM10 measuring system, which has already proven its reliability across multiple continents by radiologically characterizing and classifying several hundred thousand tonnes of material.

Marking a milestone in nuclear waste management and decommissioning, NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH (NUKEM), in partnership with Uniper Nuclear Services GmbH (UNS) as part of the UNNU Consortium, has successfully completed the complex dismantling of the fourth and final reactor pressure vessel (RPV) at the Oskarshamn Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden.

NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH (NUKEM) has been commissioned by the Swiss nuclear power plant Mühleberg to conduct a feasibility study. The study aims to assess the use of the FREMES conveyor belt clearance measurement system for the radiological characterization of crushed concrete generated during the plant’s dismantling process.

Approval has been granted for the commissioning of facilities at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant site, designed and supplied by NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH (NUKEM) for the retrieval and treatment of solid radioactive waste.
